This quilt was made by the Ladies Aid for Lura Livingston because Lura and her family were leaving the area. This was a custom to make a crazy friendship quilt for friends. Lura Shipman married Roy Livingston, a descendent of W.R. Livingston who came to Martin County, MN in the 1860’s. His log cabin still exists and can be seen at Lincoln Park in Fairmont, MN.

The center block is shown and the quilt has 30 other blocks quilted into it with the following names:
