Chain Ladies Aid
1924 Quilt
Center Chain, Minnesota
This quilt was made by the Ladies Aid for Lura Livingston because
Lura and her family were leaving the area. This was a custom to make
a crazy friendship quilt for friends. Lura Shipman married Roy
Livingston, a descendent of W.R. Livingston who came to Martin
County, MN in the 1860’s. His log cabin still exists and can be seen
at Lincoln Park in Fairmont, MN.1924 Quilt
